Everything you need, nothing you don't

Simple by design — powerful when you need it. Converts images without ever leaving Chrome.

  • Instant local conversion

Uses Chrome's Canvas API directly in your browser. No server round-trip means conversions complete in milliseconds, even for large images.

  • Right-click context menu

Right-click any image on any website and choose "Convert to JPG" or "Convert to PNG." The file downloads immediately. No popup required.

  • Page image scanner

Open the popup and switch to "Page Images" to see all WebP images on the current page. Convert and download any of them in one click.

  • Adjustable JPEG quality

Fine-tune JPEG compression from 1–100% to balance file size and visual quality. PNG output is always lossless and preserves transparency.

  • Transparency support

PNG output preserves alpha channel transparency perfectly. JPEG output fills transparent areas with white, preventing corruption.

Convert in three steps

Two flows to match how you work — popup or right-click.

  1. Install the extension

Add it from the Chrome Web Store. No sign-up, no permissions to read your browsing history or personal data.

  2. Right-click or drag

Right-click any WebP image for an instant download, or open the popup to drag and drop a file from your computer.

  3. Download converted file

Your JPG or PNG downloads automatically to your default downloads folder. The original image is untouched.

Your images never leave your device

We built this extension because most online converters upload your files to unknown servers. We think that's wrong.

  • Zero uploads

Conversion runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Files are processed in memory and immediately discarded.

  • No tracking

We collect zero analytics, zero telemetry. No cookies, no external requests, no third-party scripts.

  • Open source

Every line of code is public. Audit it yourself. Build it yourself. Trust, but verify.

  • Minimal permissions

We only request what we need: context menus, downloads, and access to the active tab. No history, no bookmarks, no identity.

Common questions

Does this work on all websites?

Yes. The right-click context menu appears on any image on any website, including HTTPS pages. The extension uses Chrome's host_permissions to fetch images that would otherwise be blocked by CORS.

What's the maximum file size?

Local conversion supports files up to 10 MB.

Will I lose image quality converting to JPG?

JPEG is a lossy format, so some quality reduction is expected. The default quality is 92%, which is visually nearly identical to the original for most photos. Use the quality slider to balance file size vs. fidelity, or choose PNG for lossless output.

Does JPG preserve transparency?

No — JPEG does not support transparency. The extension automatically fills transparent areas with white before encoding. Choose PNG to preserve transparency.

Is the source code available?

Yes, the extension is fully open source and available on GitHub. You can audit the code, build it yourself, or contribute improvements.
